I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

ABC's "Lost," 10.5/16, kept its place at the top show at 8 p.m. despite competition from "Category 6," 9.4/15.

Not much to theorize on in this episode as they answered most questions that were brought up, but here we go.

First, I want to address Kate. Many of else felt we were gipped when no reason was given for why she was wanted by the law. Now we find that the reason has something to do with why she didn't want to take shelter in the caves at Jack's suggestion. How do the two relate? It's very simple. When Jack saw Kate bend over to tie her shoe, he appeared to be checking her out. However, when Kate asked, he denied it and changed the subject.

I'd say she didn't go to the caves because Jack's lack of interest reminded her of someone. It reminded her of someone she loved. But the relationship had problems, and I now believe ended in her murdering her love. So the current situation is all too familiar to her. And it scares her.

Now on to 'Adam & Eve'. Who are they? Why were there perfectly smooth black and white rocks laid to rest with them? They were probably shipwrecked on the island many of years back. Now this isn't The Return to Blue Lagoon or anything like that, but these two ended up making a life on the island when no help came. And I believe they had a child. After all, how were both their bodies laid to rest. Someone had to put them there. I suspect the rocks were laid with them because they represented the bond the child had with his parents. This also means, that another body will be found in a future episode and it's that of the child. But wait! His body won't be found dead. He'll be very much alive.

As for the groups splitting into two, look for the group of idiots on the beach to eventually make it too the caves or half of them will die off. After all, this is a series and the show would end if any rescue came right. I'd admit it's a pretty scene on the beach, but it ain't too pretty if you're dead.

Lastly, Locke holds the key to this island. Only he truly understands it's power. I think future episodes will show this as last nights episode with the guitar showed us.

And I must add again that I believe fears are being manifest. Whether consciously or not. When Charlie stepped on the beehive, it was no coincidence. He has a fear of bees. Keep looking for subtle signs of this in future episodes.

Tonites episode is called "Raised by Another" It will be about Claire. There is going to be some foreshadowing I believe.
