One forum said "they already have more than a general WWE number of black guys getting pushed and getting on TV as it is, it's a numbers game"
As sad as this is, I've thought the same thing lately. I was even kind of afraid that was why Elijah hadn't been on TV much.

So you had the same thought I did that Elijah was basically screwed by the huge Ron Killings push?

Pretty much.

I like how, like, five black guys out of fifty is enough to inspire that kind of thought, but it's not like black wrestlers have ever had the biggest window of opportunity (Rocky notwithstanding). This is the same company that rebrands people because someone else on another brand shares a first name, so I wouldn't put it past them to call more than two black guys with cornrows or dreads too "confusing" for the audience.

Elijah has been out of action for months because his home was screwed up in hurricane ike. I don't think it has anything to do with killings.

There aren't a ton of black guys in wrestling to begin with though, I honestly think this is the most minority wrestlers I can ever remember the WWE employing at 1 time.

I think some of that has to do with a big portion of wrestlings fan base being the dumb hick/redneck people.

Of course we're talking about a company who had Smackdowns highest viewing audience being hispanic and they move Rey Mysterio to Raw...that makes a ton of sense right?

Wasn't he off TV long before that?

And he had been doing a black pope type of gimmick in dark matches...

I think it stems from all the people in creative who really liked him being gone and then they have so many people you just get lost in the shuffle unless a writer happens to like you.

I think there would definitely be something to that under normal circumstances, but WWE actually wanted to get more black guys on TV in the wake of the Michael Hayes thing. They went out and signed Killings and D-Lo (not that D-Lo's done anything), they brought up Kofi and Zeke, Mark Henry and Shelton have gotten title runs. I think Cryme Tyme coming back pre-dated the Hayes stuff, but I'll throw them in there too.

So if anything, Burke fading out was really unusual considering the timing.

In protest, I'm going to watch TNA this week. It's 8 PM. Let's see how long I last.

Pray for me.

Oh my God, is that a new Impact theme song? It's ****ing horrible. Not in the "eventually you'll be singing along to it" Papa Roach or "Move to the Music" way, either.

Samoa Joe, MCMGs, AJ Styles, Jay Lethal... how does TNA suck so badly, again?

Oh yea-

lol boogers, way to put Shelley over.

"Christian, what are your thoughts?"
"L-A-T-E-R-Z, lates!"

Taylor Wilde is Canadian, yet her attire and video are filled with American imagery. This would be a perfectly normal wrestling thing if she weren't billed as being from Toronto. You couldn't say "Orlando, Florida" or something? Jesus.

So hey, an "MCMGs resent Joe and AJ" storyline would be too simple and make too much sense, right? Where's the twist?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Jesus Christ I hate TNA. 38 minutes may be my limit.

Congratulations are in order for Ted DiBiase Jr. and Kristen Tynes, who were married Thursday, October 30 at Lake Caroline in Madison, Mississippi.
At first I thought it said Kirstie Tynes. That would rule. Ted could post right here in this thread.

Honestly, the way that Lethal-Sting match ended wasn't too bad if they set it up as the Originals eventually overcoming an internal power struggle to band together and take down the nWo main Event mafia. But they won't, so whatever.

"I, Mike Tenay, have NEVER seen a professional wrestling faction abuse the wrestlers of a company like this before. I was legally blind when Kevin Nash used Rey Mysterio Jr. as a lawn dart in 1996, and remained so through the year 2002 when I got laser surgery."

It's bizarre watching TNA and WWE right now. Both should be building new stars. And both are basically doing everything they can to keep the old guard on top.

I don't know that you can tar WWE with that brush. Even the "old guard" on top of Raw (Cena, Orton, Batista, Jericho) has either not been around that long or hasn't been around in a while, and guys like Punk, Kofi, Priceless, Santino, and Cryme Tyme are all getting a significant amount of screen time. Elsewhere, there's MVP, Miz and Morrison, Evan Bourne (pre-injury), Ron Killings, Mike "Do the" Knox, The Brian Kendrick and Zeke... all have been getting some decent degree of push over the past year or so.

It's not like Jeff Hardy and Vladimir Kozlov have been headlining PPVs for very long.

Following the news of Yada's departure from World Wrestling Entertainment, a number of fans speculated online that Yada was being let go as a result of the recent hiring of former TNA Knockout Gail Kim, who is of course Asian too. As it turns out, the speculation appears to be correct. According to one source, as soon as WWE signed Gail Kim (who is indeed under contract to the company), both Vince and Stephanie McMahon felt there was no reason to have Yada on the roster anymore since "they looked too much alike."

-- Ken Doane (a.k.a. Kenny Dkystra) removed his blog from Myspace.com today that he posted yesterday about being happy about his WWE release due to the attention it was receiving online.

In it's place, Doane wrote "I took down my past blog cause dirt sheets were making such a big deal about it. oh well, **** happens. wonder if they will put this one up on the site too."

Actually I have a better question, how the **** do some of these guys get fired while people like ****ing Snitsky still have a job?

Oh and Bob Holly, boy these are great decisions.

I've seen some speculation that Elijah's appearance on Ghost Hunters hurt him, mainly because he was absolutely shooting on how the diva's suck and how the diva search is a complete joke.
