Wiggins measurables are off the charts and he definitely flashes. He's got a long way to go as a basketball player compared to other recent superstars. Because of his personality I think a year with Lebron would have gone a long way but being the man on a team with no expectations could be the best thing for him.

Shawn Marion is signing with the Cavs. Nice defensive pickup for them.

And that's why you trade for Love. You can find wing defenders for much less money than you can find guys who put up 25 and 13. Cavs will consistently be able to fill in around their big three as long as they manage their cap efficiently.

Don't get me wrong. I'm ecstatic. It worked out for them. But let's be real about why it did. It's because LeBron somehow has the complete unique ability to get teammates to join him for a shitload less money. That's the only reason they can manage their cap efficiently. I'll take it. But normally this kind of thing doesn't always work out as easily.

No ****ing shit, dude.

Lebron was there before the Love trade talks.

He's there after Love will be sent there in a couple of days.

The reason why you get Kevin Love to play with Lebron is BECAUSE he's ****ing Lebron.

You act like this is some lucky shit, like Dorsey pulling a waiver wire player out of his ass. It's not. It's been planned possibly since last year in Lebron's brain.

I made the comment because I'm pointing out that most teams could never get away with a big 3 who take 3 max contracts. The only reason the Cavs are getting away with it is because they're filling in role players like 3 point shooters and defenders who are for some reason willing to play for half their salary to play with Lebron.

I'm a purist about playing within the rules. So even though I'm a Cavs' fan, I'm not a big fan of the way it's being done even though it makes our team a shitload better. It's basically dodging the cap because they happen to be the one team with the one player who can get players to play pretty much for free. I still stand by my point that in a fair situation, a max contract big 3 is going to destroy your ability to build quality depth.

Trade expected to go through on Saturday. Here's what looks to be the final deal:

http://www.vavel.com/en-us/nba/38260...ove-trade.html

MINNESOTA RECEIVES
Andrew Wiggins (from CLE)
Anthony Bennett (from CLE)
Thaddeus Young (from PHI)

A trade exception worth nearly $4 million in which the Wolves will have an entire year to use

CLEVELAND RECEIVES
Kevin Love (from MIN)

PHILADELPHIA RECEIVES
Luc Mbah-a-Moute (from MIN)
Alexey Shved (from MIN)
Miami's 2015 first round pick (from CLE)

Minnesota expects to introduce Wiggins, Bennett, and Young to the media on Tuesday

That's a pretty damn good haul for the Wolves. They got their veteran scorer AND young talent to replace Love. Only way it could have been better would be if a team decided to buy out the Barea or Martin contracts.

In any case, I can't wait to watch the Wolves suck again this season, only this time with a meaningful direction in their personnel moves. I can't tell you all how frustrating it was watching Kahn do shit like signing Barea and a brokedick Brandon Roy and counting that as "help" for Love.

Um, everyone was saying that was why it would work. People want to play with Lebron.

We will see. I still look a year down the road when waiters walks, Thompson expects a new contract, the cavs have no draft picks. The heat tried to plug in by these cheap veterans willing to play for less. It didn't help their bench depth. The big 3 had to play way too many minutes. They had serious gaps on the team.

I still would have preferred the cavs build a different way. But I realize that adding love is obviously going to make the team better short term.
