***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

The part I bolded gave me a good chuckle.

In overtime?

What? Do the wins count less if they are in overtime? Is there a spreadsheet I can access somewhere - some place that uses some sort of algorithm regarding the goodness or badness of a playoff win?

"So, New York Giants players and coaches - congratulations on winning the Lombardi Trophy, and all of that. Unfortunately, the NFC Championship game went into overtime. So yeah - we're going to have to put an asterisk by that one."

I'm guessing you folks in Kansas City have become such connoisseurs of playoff victories, you wouldn't even want to be bothered by those that don't come in regulation.

Meanwhile in Pile High, Donkey fans act like they are an elite franchise. Just because you went to SB's and got your ass kicked doesn't mean you won it.

The Broncos are not the Steelers and it's annoying as **** that a ton of Bronco fans act like they are.

I don't recall anyone saying the Broncos were the Steelers. I was simply referring to the humor and irony behind the, "Pfft - it was overtime" comment.

And just for the sake of clarification, they did "go to SB's" and "won it." In fact, if we're talking about the last 3+ decades, the Broncos and Steelers success has been quite similar. Both have won two Super Bowls; both have lost a few more; both have gotten into the playoffs a bunch of times; both have played in a bunch of AFC Championship games. The Steelers dominated in the 70's - a decade when the Broncos were finally starting to figure out how to win.

I am not one who scoffs at the Chiefs as an organization. Granted, you haven't had much playoff success in most of our lifetimes. But, at least against the Broncos, you've always been competitive. I have a healthy hatred for you - indicative of the fact that you're had good teams.

The twitter update was great tough... whew!
You need to get over the fact that Knowshon was drafted in the first round. He is still a good player who can contribute in a lot of different ways.

Say what you will about Chiefs fans, but at least we own up to our pieces of shit we draft in the first round.

Well, I guess most Broncos fans do too. You're the reeruned exception.

We own this bitch division after drafting Chocolate Pain, so I'm not understanding why they think we care. Our rivals have 2 geezers with nothing behind them at the QB position and a crybaby loser that they are stuck with. Having the only young franchise QB in the West will be pretty awesome.

I agree... Geez, I wish DEN had some of the stability that PIT has had in my lifetime... I'm about to be 42 years old and that Franchise has had 3 ... THREE ... 1-2-3 Head Coaches. Can you wrap your mind around that one? They have had their ups and downs, but for the most part their identity has been in tact for decades.

PIT has won 6 of the 8 SBs they've been in ... lots of things to like about that franchise and no, I have no wild illusions that Denver has a better history than them regarding NFL success.

I'm all for supporting a player because that's all you've got, but ... Moreno is nothing special, there are 30 or more of him in the NFL and few are regular starters. Moreno is just a dude... nothing more, nothing less. Again, it's not his fault for being drafted so high.

Hmm, lemme guess... Denver has only played 3 real teams right?

Atlanta has played well, but they've lived on the edge quite a bit this season with a lot of very close wins. Granted, they won the games, but the proof for them is in the playoffs where Ryan's Falcons are 0-3.

Falcons have beaten:
KC (1-10)
DEN (8-3)
SD (4-7)
CAR (3-8)
WAS (5-6)
OAK (3-8)
PHI (3-8)
DAL (5-6)
AZ (4-7)
TB (6-5)

Houston - pretty well balanced, but they have issues as well.

Houston hasn't had a terribly tough road so far:
Broncos (8-3)
Dolphins (5-6)
Jaguars twice (2-9)
Titans (4-7)
Jets (4-7)
Ravens (9-2)
Bills (4-7)
Bears, knocked Cutler outta game (8-3)
Lions (4-7)

But, they have 2 vs IND coming up, as well as the Pats and MIN.

You can pick apart any team's schedule... no team is running the gauntlet and playing powerhouses every week.
