***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

Smith is a very good athlete with adequate size, excellent arm strength and impressive accuracy to go along with maturity, leadership ability and work ethic that you look for.

From your link.

Geno Smith of West Virginia and Matt Barkley of USC are the consensus top two quarterbacks in this class but neither is an elite prospect like Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III a year ago. That puts Kansas City in a difficult position but they are so desperate for an upgrade under center that they may have no other choice but to reach.

There is no such thing as "reaching" for a QB with the attributes mentioned in said article. Everyone has gone full reerun after watching Luck I guess.

Look, I don't want to bash on Geno Smith, but the Elway and Rodgers comparisons are driving me nuts. I get you guys need a QB badly but you are lying to yourselves if you say Geno is some can't-miss prospect. He could turn out to be your QBOTF, but he is far from a sure thing.

Knowmo, I swear I will stop pushing this question after this post. In fact, I won't even respond to your response. I'll just say, "Mmm... k" and leave it alone.

You said Geno Smith could be Byron Leftwich. We asked why you chose Byron Leftwich for your QB bust, even though it's clear that if Geno Smith busts, it won't be because he plays like Byron Leftwich. He doesn't. He's not even close.

You said: "He's a black QB from West Virginia with a strong arm."

That's a pitiful reason and you know it. Give me more.

I said that after he was compared to Elway and he has way more in common with Leftwich than he does with Elway.

Obviously Geno is more athletic than Leftwich and has a quicker release. But they both prefer to stay in the pocket. A lot of what made Elway, Elway was what he did outside the pocket.

I'm sure there are more accurate comparisons for Geno Smith than Byron Leftwich. That was just the first name that popped into my head.

Smith and Leftwich are comparable because they prefer to stay in the pocket?

Well, Peyton prefers to stay in the pocket. Can we compare them?

How about Brady?

So basically what you're saying is they are black and they both like to stay in the pocket, therefore they are comparable.

That's some sound reasoning right there.

Smith is a very good athlete with adequate size, excellent arm strength and impressive accuracy to go along with maturity, leadership ability and work ethic that you look for.
Oooohhhhh, the talent analysis from a guy who said before the season that the Chiefs had the most talented roster in the league outside of QB. 2-14 isn't just a QB away from the Super Bowl.
