Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

to be fair, EVERY qb draft prospect has to prove the mental/intangible stuff on the NFL level. You never now whether they will adapt or implode.
Exactly why the new CBA is set up perfectly for us to find our guy. There will always be a possibility of someone not working out, but you have to try.

The only other concern I have is I would like to see his drop back motion. I can look past it because of his pocket maneuverability, that trends to translate, but I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Don't be scurred Burt......If the pundits say Geno is top 10, why is he not good enough to be #1? Who else in the pundit's top 10 blows you away? You take Geno and don't look back. Wilson's concussuions scare me and he didn't really impress me based on the hype. Glennon seems OK....Barkley sucks...I like Bray and Mariota but he is not eligible for the draft. I think it is fear of a black QB for some people....

I don't have to look hard for Geno looking good.

He also has a career completion percentage of 67.4.

You know who else completed 67 percent of their passes in college?

Andrew Luck and Bob Griffin 3.
I'm a Geno Smith fan, but the completion percentage argument isn't a strong one for college. Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy completed greater than 67% of their passes in college.

Your right, every college kid drafted is an unknown commodity. Its all a gamble. Thats what the draft is.

Teams draft most top 10 and 1st round picks based on potential and measurables. They are playing the odds because usually, the biggest, strongest, fastest have the highest probability of success. Lower round picks you start bringing intangiles into the equation.

Geno has not had any injuries that I know of and doesn't appear to be injury prone...has good size...can throw the shit out of the ball and can change the game with one throw...

QBs that 'feel' the pressure look down at their feet, or the line of scrimmage, at which point the play is fubar usually...

I'm not sure it's a skill you can teach either, it's a disposition...you have it or you don't...Smith has it

we're cruising to a 2-14 record

this worthless franchise has accomplished jack ****ing shit in decades

what's to be scared of?

why in the **** do people sit around 'worrying' about drafting a QB?

this is the first chance we've had in decades to do something right, and your only intelligent response is "gee guys, it's risky...it might not work out"?

get a clue...and a spine...and a brain, you morans

Congratulations. You defended a troll. Are you proud of yourself?

So does Rothlessburger but his size & ability to knock the defenders off him allows him to extend the play. That is kind of what I see what Geno Smith can do.
