How's everyone think he did? I thought he was average/below average. LDT played good and should keep the starting job. Once Allen comes back he should be the RT.

Hard to give an answer with Long, who burned bright and fast. In 5 years it could easily turn out that Fisher has had a better career than Long - who was effectively trash by, what, 27? Long got out of the gates much better but I think Fisher can ultimately have a similar ceiling and maintain it for much longer. Even if he doesn't hit the ceiling, I still think he can have an overall better career based on longevity.

Johnson couldn't get much traction moving over to LT because for whatever reason he couldn't turn his athleticism into true excellence. Oh, and hasn't he been nailed for PEDs at least once? Personally, I think Fisher playing the harder position and NOT missing a bunch of games for suspension (while also developing at least at the same level as Johnson) makes him a demonstrable more valuable player than Johnson.
The Lane Johnson thing is weird but I just chalk that up to Chip Kelly.

It's too late to move him over to the left tackle spot, which makes him overdrafted but he's a damn good right tackle.

Luke Joeckel
Lane Johnson
D.J. Fluker (honorable mention at #11)

I would only take Joe Thomas and Russel Okung over Fisher at left tackle.

So, no, he isn't in the level of hall of famers, but he is better than many other top 10 drafted tackles.
This might be his last or at least he's winding down I thought Trent Williams was a few hairs above a JAG?

Yeah, Smith is good, but he is playing RT, not LT.

After Thomas, I don't think any of the others are appreciably better than Fisher and many are worse or washed out. EDIT: Yeah, and Trent Williams.

I'm just saying, it isn't like Fisher is some terrible outlier of tackles picked in the top 10. He is actually near the top of that list I think.

I thought Okung actually had a good run for a bit.. I guess not.

Tyron Smith, Trent Williams and Joe Thomas are the three best LTs in football. After that I'd probably take Fisher easy. Jason Peters is good too but hes old
