What does everyone honestly think? Do you think Cloud, Moreau, and/or Hall will get a real chance (20+ carries) to display their abilities?

They may suprise me, but for some reason, I doubt that this coaching staff will do that at all and we'll continue to play out the season in the same fashion we've been playing.

I don't think we need to do this at every position, but I definitely think it needs to be done at our weakest position, running back. It should have been done long before now anyway.

I already know that Cloud and Hall suck.

The only one that might actually be a good back that hasn't been given an opportunity is Moreau. The rest of them eat a$$ talent wise.

I'd give the rest of the carries to Moreau and still look at signing Charlie Garner in the off season.

Rick,
I think your'e right. We will not see the talent evaluation process begin. My feeling is that Goonther will put more emphasis on trying to win now, than on looking to the future. If the Chiefs were to somehow win the last 3 games, he would probably say that he is starting to see the team he had envisioned all along. Heck, moron that he has proved himself to be, MaGoo may believe the Chiefs are still in the playoff hunt.
the milkman
even with the 3 Stooges and Limp Willie here, thinks Goonther MaGoo is the biggest moron them all

Actually I don't expect them to get many more carries, Moreau might take Bennet's spot on short yardage, but I expect Hall to stay on the inactive list. As for Cloud I think Anders beat him out of his spot, so he probably will not get many carries.

I'd go you better than that. I'd like to see Ransom, Martin, Ricks, Stills, Alford, and O'Neil get major playing time these last three games. I'd kill to see Rich and Cloud in a split backfield for just one game.

Do I think it'll happen? Like a snowballs' chance in hell! Gun wants to keep his job and needs some kind of fig leaf to do it. He'll sacrifice the team and future development to do it.

Chuck - O'Neal's on IR. I remember posting the training camp pic on the BB of the Chiefs using a split backfield. I thought it would actually be used. :)

I really don't think we'll see anything from 95% of our players that need evaluating (Moreau, Cloud, Collins, etc.) but they might as well get a shot now anyway; we have nothing to lose. The guys I really want to see are Stills, Ransom, McCleary, Alford, Waters, parker (at WR), and Ricks. If we're lucky, one will turn out to be of value.

I read on kcchiefs.com that Gun has not ruled out giving Cloud and Moreau, and Alford will get more work due to Tait's injury. The rest of the article is vintage Gunther. It makes no sense.

I do apologize for this, and rest assured I am ashamed to say that I still do not know how to post a link. I've tried copying the address and then pasting it in the reply box, but apparently that is the incorrect procedure. Anyway here is the full address (I'm so sorry!)

Please spare me the ridicule.<BR>

WHEN will the talents of the coaches be evaluated? They BLOW! They are NOT qualified to judge talent.

The talent evaluation never ends.
At this point Anders is out. Its time for Bennett and TRich to make something happen. The team needs a tailback as much as anything.

I wouldn't hold my breath on Hall's future. His girlfriend used to post on this board until some of the membership pissed her off bashing Hall's desire. She seemed to indicate Hall had lost his passion for football and that 2000 would be his final year. I don't know what their relationship status is now but I've met her and I'm quite certain she's not BS'ing us about her relationship with him.

kphob,

do you honestly think we(I) was wrong to make statements about not wanting hall on the team after she said he wanted to quit?

In all seriousness, I wasn't trying to pi$$ the lady off....but you know..The "as a fan" argument..
