Work with an existing charity organization that's putting on a benefit dinner and see if your team can provide help (in the kitchen, serving food, giving a speech about the benefits of the sport, hanging out with the guests as minor celebrities) in order to grab a chunk of the pie.

Teach a skate and bike kids safety class on the weekends in your uni, charge a small amount for the class. Make it slightly more than the cost of a piece of merchandise. Give the kids a cheap piece of merchandise when they complete the class.
