Bowes says we're going Deep /gonna blow up the scoreboard

I just hope blowing up the scoreboard isn't considered a terroristic threat or Bowe may be done for the year.

Chiefs | Dwayne Bowe likes new offense
Sat, 20 Apr 2013 09:58:30 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe said he likes the offense that head coach Andy Reid has brought to the team. "Throwing the ball deep, that's something we haven't done in the past so I'm excited right now. The play calling is totally different from last year. It's not check downs or putting it in the running back's hands. This guy likes to go down the field, take the top off (the defense) and that's something we haven't done in the past, put up a lot of points. This season he said we're going to blow out the scoreboard and that's something I'm looking forward to," Bowe said.

Chiefs | Not committed to trading Branden Albert
Sat, 20 Apr 2013 09:12:32 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey said the team is not committed to trading OT Branden Albert even though they have allowed his agent to talk with the Miami Dolphins. "Branden Albert is a good football player," Dorsey said. "We wouldn't have stuck the franchise tag on him if he wasn't. It's my job to explore all options and that's kind of what's going on."

Gotcha.
I don't think he's dumb. I think he's made a dumb decision. It's that simple. Pioli also knew football more than anyone on this board. He also made dumb decisions. Reid has made many shitty decisions in his career. This one is one of them.

On the same team, 2nd year QB Colin Kaepernick was asked to throw the ball past 10 yards 5 times more per game than 8 year vet Alex Smith.

That should tell you something. But hey, we're all wrong. It's not like Andy Reid has ever made a dumb decision regarding a trade or anything...

You sound like a true fan and I don't even like to use that phrase.

"Be happy with every move the team makes. Yay! Who cares if the Chiefs have made that same move the past 20 years and have ZERO playoff wins to show for it! Support it! Yay!"

No it isn't.

There were deep ball opportunities that Smith failed to take advantage of because the window was smaller than he had the confidence to complete.

Look dude I understand CK is better than Smith, you are trying to say Smith = Cassel.

Those 2 things are not mutually exclusive. People here have gone full ****ing reerun.

If we had both QB's we would play CK, fact is we dont have both of them and guess what CK > than Geno too.

Because Ck is better than Smith does not mean Smith is not good enough.

Thats a simple fact that people here cant get straight in their minds Its also hilarious people think had we not traded for Smith nobody else would have given a 2nd. Its laughable.

This feels much like the same debates we had with you when Pioli traded for Cassel.

Gee, I wonder who was right then?

I imagine there is some truth to that but keep in mind if the mantra is dont turn the ball over that is the call to be made.

Case in point, with Al Saunders offense you took chances because you knew you were going to get another shot. Turnovers were accepted as part of the deal.

You can distinguish the difference, I know you can.

There's a difference between playing smart and lacking confidence.
