If you had to cut one player next year who would it be and why?

Dorsey watched them do it for years in GB.

Those WR's make plays after the catch. They're not all 1st round picks.

As many drops as he had Avery made plays after the catch. He converted 3rd and longs with his ability to make a play. He got open deep.

Productive players get more touches. It's why Kelcee see's more targets than Fasano. It's why Charles was our main target last year.

I don't think he has the speed to be a 1,300/12 guy. He might be a 1000/7 guy with Manning but those days of 10+ TD's per season are all but over for Bowe.

Hakeem Nicks was on the free agent market this past off season and has drawn similar comparisons to Bowe over the years. With Andrew Luck, he has 23 catches for 223 yards on a $3.5 million dollar contract.

totally disagree with you guys but I'll leave it at that

our offense doesn't feature receivers

it's as simple as that

and it's ok, we're perfectly efficient

No way he gets $6 million in 2015. I think $5 million would be the absolute highest he'd earn and realistically, it's closer to $3-4 million.

31 year old possession receivers aren't coveted in the NFL. That said, I'd be more than happy to see him retire as a Chief as long as his contract is commensurate with his performance.

I like Bowe. No hating here.

But if Emmanuel Sanders is getting $6 million, I can't see Bowe getting even $5 million. He doesn't have breakaway speed and he's not a Steve Smith/Anquan Bolden type of possession receiver.

Sanders was a bargain basement steal though. You can't really compare his contract. He's out performing that contract substantially.

Did Reid change offenses?

The same Reid offense than went out and got TO and guys like Maclin or Desean Jackson?

Andy has always had guys that made plays after the catch. He doesn't here because we don't have any. It's a WCO - it's all about yards after the catch...

I can agree with you about that.

I just think under utilization has just, at this point, made Bowe a severely underrated player.

Maybe. It's a really difficult subject to debate due to the reasons you've stated, especially his role in the offense.

But he's on track for about 72 receptions this season and while he might be closer to 85 with a Brady or a Peyton, it's difficult to envision him as anything more than a complimentary receiver.

His one-game suspension this year voided his base-salary guarantees this year and next.
