Huh? Telesco was with the Colts from 1998 until now. It's not like he was just there this year and the Chargers randomly picked him out of a hat.

At least Dean didn't go the typical Chargers path-of-least-resistance route and promote Raye. Hopefully Telesco does a good job - of course, just about anyone (except a certain former Chiefs GM) could do a better job than AJ Smith. I've heard the Chargers are interested in Mike Zimmer, and I hope they hire him.

So what kind of shit was he doing under Polian? When did he earn his fancy new Director of Jizz Personnel title or whatever the hell he was?

In the end, money could be a major factor in the final decision-making process. Rumors are making the rounds that Steve Keim will be making roughly $750,000 as the Cardinals’ new G.M., which would make him the lowest-paid General Manager in the league. It could be that the Cardinals have a firm budget for the head-coaching job — and that the guy who gets the gig will be the guy who is willing to take whatever the team offers.

What did they expect? They tried to keep the old GM as the cap guy, retained Rex Ryan and allowed him to be involved in the GM search. It will be fun watching the Jets lose again next year.

They would be much better off looking for their GM starting over. Fire Rex and tell the new guy, hire your own coach and the QB position is fair game also.

This is gonna be a train wreck. Oh goodie. I hate everyone there right now.

Other than that one season where Warner and Haley helped them get over the hump and get to the SB they have pretty much been like this.

They did have some playoff teams in the 70's while they were in St.Louis.

They have a good D, and some players on O just need a QB and coach to lead them and put it all together.

Hey, where does that sound familiar?

Remaining candidates for the Jets job include Dolphins assistant G.M. Brian Gaine, 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble, Steelers director of football and business administration Omar Khan, Montreal Alouettes G.M. Jim Popp, Seahawks V.P. of football administration John Idzik, Jets assistant G.M. Scott Cohen, Packers V.P. of football administration Russ Ball, and former Broncos G.M. Ted Sundquist.

If you are the Jets and its true that Tom Gamble is still in the hunt here, what in the heck are they waiting for? Unless he wants to wait for the post season to be done. Other than that, they are gonna end up with Sundquist.
