Picture it?
I used to use Microsoft Picture it to do projects. Editing photos, adding text, designing signs, t-Shirts etc. I guess they discontinued it. Is there a good software out there to use for this type of stuff. I am running windows 8 now. I know Photoshop is the best, but seems pretty hard to get accustomed to. What others are out there and what can they do?

Paint.NET is a pretty simplistic option. GIMP is like Photoshop, but free.

if you are so inclined, refer to my Adobe thread on obtaining an older version Photoshop or PS Elements for free.
*discaimer* they will take a little effort to run in Win8 though
