I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

I think I may have mentioned this podcast before or maybe someone else in this thread did. I listen to it every week and it's really funny and insightful. http://www.jayandjack.com/

I forgot to mention it's an unofficial Lost podcast. They do 2 podcasts on Lost. 1 Thursday where they recap the last episode. And then another one on Mondays where they recap again going over some things that they or listeners may have noticed. It's also an enhanced podcast so as they are talking about the episode they'll show screencaps and so on.

Ok....here I go...Thoughts on this week's ep.

1. I don't think Ben is "the bad guy." It's pretty obvious to me that during his convo with Locke, Ben realized that he (Locke) was giving up too easy. So rather than wait for him to complete his mission (getting the O6 back) he decided he would handle it himself. You know, to speed up the process. Ben can be a little more convincing than Locke. Notice how fast he got them rounded up?

2. I don't think Locke is alive. I think he's a spirit, allowing the others to see him. I don't think Ben will even flinch when he awakens though, because he already knows how this whole leaving the island and then dying to get back thing works.

3. I'm glad they finally brought back the existence of the 2nd island and didn't just forget about it. The 316 crew is in the hydra station on the 2nd island....aka...fish biscuit island. (the clue is the kayaks, the same ones that Kate/Sawyer/Alex/her boyfriend stole in season 2, and the same one that Sawyer and crew stole a couple episodes ago). The only thing is, who stole the 3rd one. I believe it could very well be Lapidus and Sun.

4. Michael Emerson should win an emmy for his enigmatic portrayal of Benjamin Linus. Man he is a good actor.

As usual...I'll add/make revisions as things come to me.

I have mixed feelings on this episode.

I really like getting some character development on Widmore.
I liked Abbadon, but his death reminded me of the tail section members. They start to develop an interesting character and then suddenly they are killed off.
Of course the scene with Ben and Locke was very good.

I didn't like Locke's interaction with any of the survivors. Really lame attempt at convincing them.
I'm not sure I like the two new characters.
