Sorry, I own property in Missouri and they are going to have to show me that it isn't ownership dictating this, as the Hunt family has been the only thing consistent for those 30 years. In fact, I think it has pretty much been a trend since the outset.

They are trying to avoid being a Cleveland or Detroit, but in the process avoid being a Pittsburgh or New England.

Carl Peterson gave an interview 2 weeks ago at the combine and basically said he didn't have the patience for a rookie QB. That he ALWAYS wanted veterans to lead his teams because they had "been there, done that".

Clark stays out of all football decisions. He's alerted to them, and he'll ask questions but he has no real input in the overall decision.

Reid loves Alex Smith. That's what this comes down to.

lol that dude is sooo overated. his 19.5 sacks in year 12' were because of justin smith.. His last 3 games the kid recorded ZERO sacks against some terrible O-Lines while Justin smith was hurt and he turned into mr.invisible in the superbowl vs the ravens.

So far this thread has been a rollercoaster ride. Lots of ups and downs, with some sharp turns and twists thrown in for good measure. Even a little screaming here and there.

I hate the fact that I have to try and look for the bright side of things with the Alex Smith trade instead of being able to ave long term hope of winning a championship without having to fool myself.
