But enough about those guys, how about that KU comeback last night? Self got his guys to really turn up the intensity in the 2nd half. That first half was painful to watch but the 2nd half was a lot of fun.
It's good to see. There have been several games through the years that the intensity never picked up. It's good that Self got it done yesterday. Mason is the guy that brings it every game. IMO he was the only guy doing anything the first half.

It's frustrating when they half ass it. It's a grind. It happens I guess, but I wasn't ever good enough to half ass it and not get slaughtered so it is hard for me to understand I guess.

They showed a graphic during the game of Mason Kennard Ball and Hart. Everybody's PPG was leading the conference except Kennard. He was 4th. WTF is going on in the ACC? Besides defense. We know it isn't that.

I doubt Mason wins it, but he should. Kennard I don't think brings nearly as much and benefits from a LOT of open 3s. When we played them he wasn't nearly the all around player Mason is. Besides that, everything goes to shit when Mason goes out. That's as much of an indicator as anything.

I think Ball runs away with it unless UCLA dumps some bad games in conference. He's a hell of a player and a highlight machine on top of it.

Woah. I had no idea we were getting Sherron type production out of Frank. I mean I know his PPG is up but damn.

I think Frank is a lot smarter with the ball and his focus seems better.

One of his closest statistical comps on KenPom for this season so far is also 2010 Collins (senior).

We'll lose at several more places than that. This team isn't defensively strong enough to win much more than half of its conference road games.

im not trying to be negative. Our lapses on defense and a inside the paint force will bite us in the ass many times before the season is over. That said, I still think the most valuable piece of a successful tourney run is guard play and we got that in abundance.

At this point, Josh Hart would be a worthy candidate were he to win. He's been every bit as good as Mason. The bias doesn't hurt him, but I wouldn't blame it all on that.

Nice! And I have confidence that Frank won't lay an egg in the tournament like Sherron did in his last game.

I'm surprised by this. I would have thought Frank would be rated much higher than Sherron (comparing both their senior years)

Sherron only shot 42% his senior year with 4.5 APG. How does Franks offensive rating not reflect this?

I don't expect Mason to avg 20.4 PPG by the end of the year, but I said that ten games ago, and here he is. I loved both players, but I'd have to give the edge to Mason at this point. I think he's even MORE deserving of the POY than Hart even at this point.
