4th and 2

We should have went for it. Couldn't believe he punted. Watching the Dallas game tonight, they had a 4th and 2 come up, they could even kick the field goal, but knew that the first down would end the game, they went for it and got it, game over.

Just can't believe that a HC in the NFL couldn't figure out that giving the ball back to the #1 offense and try to stop them with one the worse defenses is the call to make, when you need a 1st down and your O has moved the ball well most of the day.

just got to Illinois from the game...

This call made me so mad I can't even begin to explain...

What in god's name was Herm thinking? We're 1-8, we have some momentum...4th and 3 just ONE DRIVE ago Thigpen ran for 36 yards on a QB draw...and we punt, on 4th and 2, from the 40...WHEN WE'RE 1-8?! Are you kidding? Our only defense today was New Orleans dropping passes...we punted for 28 yards of field position so we could watch New Orleans go on another 15 play drive? Really?

Herm didn't even THINK about going for it...that was the most ridiculous thing I've seen from Herm Edwards this year...

Someone made a thread about 'do you want Herm to stay' and I was undecided...this might have been the clincher...

1,000 out of 1,000 times you go for that with our defense and our record.

What a ****ing moron.

I was so mad. They were trying to calm me down in the stands I was about to hit this old man...

Might I also add that Dallas had a hell of a lot more to lose than the 1-8 Chiefs, and still made the right call.

God I was so mad...ruined my whole day...another good day from Thigpen...made some amazing throws (that Franklin play was a thing of beauty)...a little mad he missed Bradley (still caught it but he was wide open for a TD) and the fact we were 1st and goal from the 1 and 3 and settled for 6 points...but our offense is fine...we're getting better every week...showing new things ever week...LJ looked good, definitely the best back on our team and I think this whole experience has humbled him a bit...his numbers look worse than he played because of the goal to go carries where he literally had nowhere to go at all...take out those 5 carries and -3 yards and he had a presentable day plus the Chiefs ran their first successful screen pass to a back all year which was nice...

But the day was ruined by Herm and the 4th and 2 punt...the funny thing is, no one else cared...and I don't blame them...I didn't make a lick of noise for that defense after the 1st quarter, and no one else did either...if they are going to play like that they don't deserve the fans behind them...we didn't sniff Drew Brees.

Dallas' call was 50/50...they kick a FG and it's 17-10...I kick the field goal...

The right move in that game was Washington going for it on 4th and 4 from the 37...the same situation Herm had (except we were 4-2) and they are 6-3 and in the playoff hunt playing another playoff caliber team...

The fact we're 1-8 and the only thing we can do is play offense and yet we still punt is beyond ridiculous...that screams tank job to me if Herm wasn't so stupid...the only stops we had all day were complete luck...New Orleans dropped 7 or 8 passes...the fact we punted for 28 yards of field position a drive after we converted a 4th and 3 for the biggest momentum changer of the game makes me absolutely sick.

i absolutely ****ing loved the decision to go for two today.... in my mind, he just bought two more years... i love the way herm has had the team competing over the last two weeks

some people on this board just need to relax, and actually watch this team REBUILD... if we get as good of a draft class as we did last offseason in this upcoming draft it could happen very soon

I'd like to point out that I'm happy with the decision to try and preserve our draft position.
