I stopped buying games after that, Evolve looked like shit and The order is supposedly terrible.

These games are so over hyped and expensive now, I'm just sick of it. I hope metal gear and uncharted live up to expectations but console gaming just doesn't feel the same.
Since I've been out of "gaming" for about 6-8 years, the new games sure seem like they would be a lot more difficult, expensive and time consuming to produce than they used to be.

I find it hard to pick games at this point, because lots of reviews I read are all comparing one AAA game to another with what seems like insane expectations. Eventually I decided to stop reading reviews for my last purchase entirely (FIFA 15) and just go with it. Why? Because all the reviews were talking about why it was better or worse than the year before. How about telling me whether the game is fun or not?

Similar rant about reviews about Madden 15...how about tearing EA a new one for making it so difficult to build your own team and/or play through a season? I give two shits about this Ultimate Team nonsense...just want to play with Bo Jackson as QB and Len Dawson as QB.

Along the same lines, why can't I just play through the World Cup in FIFA?

One thing that will help will be when both companies stop developing for the last gen consoles. i think that is when we will see a big leap forward on the current gen. I still think Uncharted4 is going to set the standard.

I'm really impressed with the new battlefield. It's very smooth and has been really entertaining. The multiplayer is probably something I'm actually going to like. You actually have to use strategy and not run around like an idiot.
