I agree with DJ's left nut here. Tyler Bray is very interesting.
If Tyler Bray looks just as good as Geno Smith and Tyler Wilson to you but isn't a first round pick, why not draft him in round 2 and take BPA? Wouldn't mind that if we were high on him. Sign Alex Smith in FA, draft BPA rd 1, Bray round 2 and then you let Bray sit and work on his mechanics for a year or so. It's a fix for the present and the future. But that's only if you feel that Bray is as good as anyone in the class (ala Andy Dalton) and you're sure he'll be there in round 2. |

Bray will go in the first due to his upside, imo. Some team will be willing to overlook his character and mechanical flaws because of what he could become.

I think it is the same mechanical flaws that keep him out of the first round, just barely. Bray in my opinion, is the man to watch and the combine and I'm so ****ing stoked to watch.

But Brock effing Osweiler went in the second round and he doesn't have near the upside Bray does. Thats why I think Bray goes in the first. Some team will overpay. I guess if he pans out its not overpaying.

In the other thread I may be guilty of trolling just a little since everyone was appalled by that Mock, I totally find it feasible that the Chiefs of all teams will pass up Geno in the first and draft some gawdawful Defensive Lineman from the SEC, and then go and draft a 2nd round QB, and if that is the case, i want Bray to be there. Having said that, I really do not think nearly as many QBs are going to go in the first round like they have over the last 2 years, there just isn't the talent pool available. There's plenty of guys in the pool, just not talented enough to risk a first rounder on. At least that's my gut feeling prior to the combine. |

Murray has been my sleeper for the last few weeks. Provided he declares (he may have by now, I dunno) and has a good combine, I think he'll go in the top half of the 1st round.

There's too much money to be made and too much injury risk to stay behind. I love college football, but I think any parent/coach/adviser is doing a kid a huge disservice by telling him to stay in if he's a first or probably even a 2nd round prospect (though the 2nd rounders depend on the player). For every player that moves up in the draft, there's another that moves down. Ultimately I think Murray will get a 1st round grade or at the very least a guaranteed "Brees" pick when Jacksonville takes him at #1 in the 2nd. That might be good enough to convince him to go.

Sounds too much like Aaron Curry. I'm not sure we can risk that.

If not, he's no Aaron Curry.

I would take Smith and Wilson before Murray but I don't mind Murray. Glennon and Manuel interest me as well. I do not want Barkley and see him as a seconder now anyways.
