Call of Duty will go head-to-head with Battlefield 3 in 2011.

The third game in the series, which will be shown to press during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next month, is set for release this coming fall, Electronic Arts confirmed.

The publisher revealed the first teaser trailer for the game on its official website tonight. The trailer, which contains no actual gameplay, displays quick cuts of helicopters, ground troops, tanks and fighter jets.

Additional details courtesy of the official Battlefield Blog confirm a full single-player and co-op campaign, jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer for the PC version. The Frostbite 2 engine will power the game and a Limited Edition will be revealed around GDC.

Developer DICE confirmed earlier this morning it was canceling the release of Battlefield 1943 and the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught pack for PC.

I'm still not able to access the B2K pack; even with the recommendation by DICE/EA that you filter for it on the quick match screen (instead of server menu).

My 'download' of it, only too like 1 minute, so that's definitely not right. I hope I'm able to go back into the PSN store and re-enter my code for the free version. I've been reading on a lot of forums that my issue is fairly common but they don't really give a lot of recommdended fixes for it.

I hope I'm not somehow screwed out of it becuase EA thinks my code has already been redeemed. etc.

Only played two games, one on Karkland & one on Gulf of Oman and its a little overwhelming. Destruction seems more pronounced and gulf of Oman is huge....lots of vehicles too. You need a squad on Karkland, there are endless places to hide. Oman I ran around in a buggy and had trouble finding people. Pretty cool though. But learning new maps sucks in the beginning.

A ton of people must be downloading the expansion... I'm going on over half an hour right now and I'm only at 73%. I've got to go to work in 20 minutes.

yeah....^...then my download definitely screwed up then. I downloaded it, and it said it was finished in like a minute.

God I hope I can go back into the PSN store and re-download it with my code.

...I'm sure I won't though; it'll be a PITA.
