Life What's the longest "shift" you've worked?

I work in the Elections trade.....and on election day....I work long hours. Today would be one of those days and I'll more than likely end up working a 20-22 hour day.

So....what's the longest shift you've worked? And what were you doing?

Here's to 18 hours of the Arcade!

I stood a 34 hour watch one time cause my relief had to get off the boat due to a death in the family.

The day before we launched and the day we launched the television station I worked 34 hours straight.

56 hours.

That's from the 4am alert to mobilizing at the unit, loading the vehicles, driving to the site, setting up the site, pulling the night shift, jumping one hour after the night shift ended, driving four hours to set up about 100 yards from our original location, setting the site back up, pulling the night shift and pulling a guard shift.

I'm glad to know I could do something like that. I don't think I could do it now fifteen years later.

somewhere around 28-30 hours, after 24 I was sitting in my chair spinning around singing along with doctor demento songs and was really very loopy. Luckily I was just bringing doing backups and shutting down servers so that they could put in a generator. The other time I worked that long I started seeing things, and had just finished up with a vendor on a major outtage.

Pulled a 24hr shift at a helpdesk I used to work at.
Slept on the chairs in the slow wee hours fo the am though.

i stayed up first working then studying for 30 hours or so I probably could "work" better than trying to study I felt like I had a cold after that and my heart was racing but i was dead tired. terrible feeling
