Frozen Four
Congrats to the Minnesota Golden Gophers for making their 20th Frozen Four!

Oddly enough, this year's Frozen Four is in Tampa, FL, in two weeks.

The Frozen Four is an awesome event...maybe one of these days KC could get one in the Sprint Center!

Congrats to the Gophers. I grew up in Grand Forks and I actually hate Sioux hockey. People take it way to ****ing seriously.

Games are fun as hell, don't get me wrong, but they haven't won a championship since 2001. That's gotta suck.

I'll be rooting for the Gophers.

I wish I had gotten into hockey more quickly after I moved out here so that I would have been motivated to go to the 2008 Frozen Four. I bet it's a hell of a good time.

I think KC would do a great job hosting it. A team from North Dakota, MN, or WI is almost always in the Frozen Four, and hockey fans travel well from the east coast as well.

I remember when the Gophers won in 2002 at Xcel in St. Paul. It was nuts, and an awesome sports weekend.

College hockey is one of the few things I miss about living up north. Don't get many games down here in KC, so I am glad ESPNU is covering the tournament.

That is indeed a event that KC and the Sprint Center should get. It is in a central location that is still pretty darn close to those in the Upper Midwest.

I get to watch college hockey a fair amount with the sports package I have.

Apparently...Mizzou does have a hockey team, and they won the MACHA title.

Apparently the MACHA does not have an auto bid to the NCAA tourney though, LOL. Might not even be considered Division 1.

I think it's considered DII. I think Turner Gill now coaches KU's hockey team... they lost to Missouri 14-3 a couple of months ago.

Union is an interesting study. Apparently they offer no scholarships for athletics, and have not had a high level of success until the past couple of years.
