Original ending to "I Am Legend"

Not sure why they changed it? This seems better..

I thought he did a very good job in a mediocre movie.

Hell of an actor, though. Better than most people give him credit for.

I agree. After I Am Legend and Pursuit of Happyness, I don't see how anyone can say he's not a great actor. He's come a long way since The Fresh Prince...

I could care less if he lives or dies. I just want the movie to be consistant. There is dialogue in the movie about how "brain dead" the creatures are. Then, the movie contradicts itself by having them set traps, own pets, mourn the loss of a lover... With the original ending, the good doctor doesn't ever realize that they are intelligent, so the story has no point.

It was more that he did not want his son and the others to be eaten by the creatures in the mist.. He thought at that time it was more honorable to do it that way then let the creatures have them.. The only one to deal with the monsters would have been him.. In the end he seen that it was the wrong decision and all four lives were lost in the end.. Cause I know I would want to kill myself after that..

How did the book end..

They were smart enough to set a trap, so they are capable of rational thought. It is not that much of a stretch to think that they also may still have some humanity.

I wish they could actually make a movie that was true to the book.

Wonder why they didn't stay closer to the book, that would make a killer ending....

As for the video, I like the original better. My thought at the time was that he was the legend that saved mankind.

its really very sad that they did that. they left a main character completely out. left a lot of the story out... the dog is not a large part of the book. the girl warned neville in a note that the others were coming for him. neville was a drunk and also wanted some pu$$y bad etc etc. such a waste
