Taking a toddler to a Chiefs game...

Good idea or bad idea? We're flying back home to go to the Chiefs/Steelers game in October. My wife and I are battling amongst ourselves whether to bring our 16 month old daughter (she'll be 19 months come October) to the game or leave her with family. We're gonna buy some earmuffs just in case we bring her to the game obviously, and practice trying to keep them on her lol.

We've taken her to Royals games and D-backs games already and she has a blast, but we know football is different and even with the earmuffs we'd be a bit nervous lol. As far as being rowdy is concerned, we wouldn't have to worry about that since it's a football game. Just rambling now lol.

Anyway, just wondering. I've never noticed any babies or toddlers at games but now that I have one it makes you think.

Because half the time the music and overall ruckus of a bar is too loud even for humans. That shit is way too much for a dog.

Like people that walk their dogs on asphalt on a 100 degree day or keep them caged for 20 out of 24 hours- I consider it a form of abuse.

Oh, yeah. Your coming from a place of concern for the dog and we totally agree there. I thought you meant you don't like the dogs.
We're talking 2 different kinds of bar. In Scottsdale the dog friendly bars aren't the head banger/booming house music bars. Mostly wine bars almost all with patios.

It's a thing here for people to get their analyst to verify them as emotionally dependent so their dogs are classified as service animals. That way they can take them most places.
Including on the airplane.

I would have to go with the don't do it crowd. Too many reasons not to and really no reason to do it other than "you want to do it as a family" which seems a little selfish considering she won't remember it anyway.

Baseball game = 35k watching a game where they're sitting down the vast majority of the time and people aren't screaming unless something big happens.

Football game = 70k people full of booze (many drinking for 3 hours before the game even starts) where they're standing/jumping at least half the time and screaming at the top of their lungs.

We got 4 club level seats given to us when my two oldest were 5 and 3. It is a completely different experience than section 314. If you have the funds go club level. If not, consider this: would you take her to a rowdy sports bar to watch the game? If you aren't sure then you have your answer. If you would I suggest doing that first if you haven't already....
