Yeah, if you hated Fallout 3 then I don't think you'll ever like an RPG.

I never liked RPGs (even Oblivion) and then I played Fallout 3 and loved it.

Fallout 3 was decidedly mediocre, Mass Effect was a much better game.

But RPGs aren't for everyone.

big difference between western rpgs and jrpgs.. i hate anything turn-based (final fantasy).

I don't think I've ever heard/read someone HATING Fallout 3..

My son loved it for all of about 2 weeks then got severely bored with it and sold it within 6 weeks. I even tried to talk him out of it since he purchased it brand new with his own money and he still didn't want to keep it.

If anyone remembers Sony's presser when they first announced PS3 and their smug attitude about it. That is how MS is coming across now. Customers do eventually notice that crap.

MS says Gold required to use Facebook and Twitter add-ons. What a friggin joke. This isn't Netflix where people pay to see movies. It's friggin Facebook and Twit. Why would you need Gold to do that?

Yeah I'll deal with it.

I can understand a kid not getting into Fallout though. A lot of exploring and downtime.

I put over 200 hours into oblivion and nearly 100 in Fallout.

It was so odd watching him. It was the "best game ever" and then, all of the sudden, he was bored as heck with it and there is nothing to do. I knew the ratings it was getting and how much you guys loved it so I tried to talk him out of giving away his money but he went that route anyway.

In the long run, he is content with his decision so that is all that really matters to me.

I can play a MMO, but i cant play a regular RPG game. Only RpG game in the last 10 years i really enjoyed was the First Kotor. Never played the 2nd one.

Only games these days i can really get into is sports games. Well, Street Fighter IV. I am on like 3500 matches. For me, that game has crazy replay value. Every match is different and i learn new things all the time. Granted all i play with is Dhalsim . lol

I don't even consider Western's real RPG's...they feel more like action/adventure games to me.

Not all JRPG's are turn based either, but they most have a battle system where you exit the regular plane of exploring and enter a limited-area battle arena, or whatnot.

I don't mind Western RPG's, but give me a good old fashioned JRPG any day...

Heh - I don't see the point of using those in conjunction with a 360 or PS3 anyways. It's not like my facebook news feed needs more useless spam on it.

Can anyone answer this question. I had an xbox360 and sold it. Am I going to be able to keep BuckinKaeding as my gamertag, or is that stuck on my old machine?

I want to know after I pick up my 360 today if I need to come up with a new gamertag or not.
