Alex Smith to ask for release

http://tracking.si.com/2013/01/28/al...?sct=obnetwork

If no draft picks are involved, does that change your opinion on bringing him in?

Draft pick, Smith, Stanzi(?) as your QB's in camp.

agreed. We all know how limited snaps are to come by in practice. Putting someone ahead of our QBOTF only lessens his development. **** that!

They're both irrational statements. Why might somebody like Hitler? Couple of possibilities:

1) They're undereducated and simply don't understand
2) They follow some bizarre devotion to national socialism and racial purity like a religion

Why do fans want to pick Joeckel? Couple of possibilities:

1) They're undereducated and simply don't understand/they don't care enough to actually think about why this is a bad idea
2) They follow some bizarre devotion to True Fanism where the only acceptable options for a starting QB are training camp heroes and backups from other teams. Pretty much a religion.

They're both weak opinions. Ill-supported. Not logically sound. Stupid. They're both stupid opinions.

Sometimes people have opinions that disagree with mine, and sometimes those opinions are really ****ing stupid. People who think Hitler was a great man or that the Chiefs should take Luke Joeckel have opinions that disagree with mine. Those also happen to be really ****ing stupid. It's not intellectually arrogant for me to dismiss them from conversations for spouting that kind of dumbass bullshit. Regardless of what I believe or not, those are two really stupid opinions.

Do you see how this works?

There does exist the possibility that Alex Smith could wait until after the draft to pick his team if he is released.

Not sure I see either of those two things happening, but it is possible.

Anytime anyone resorts to using Hitler in an analogy they've hit a new level of stupid.

That only works when you compare somebody's stance on an issue, political or otherwise, to that of Hitler's.

I'm in no way saying that people who want to draft Luke Joeckel have anything to do with Nazism.

yeah, I like hearing from him more often...and you can tell he's more relaxed each time, less pr...

the interview was mostly about lamar and the superbowl, but right at the end petro said, "we're going to be talking to Geno Smith soon, anything you'd like to say to him?"

Clark: "Yeah, tell him our guys missed him in Mobile..."

...it was funny, Clark's not a total stick in the mud
