I only play with those Silver controllers just cause of the awesome analog pads but sounds like the battery is shit that u have

Same thing happened with mine. I chalked it up to getting it for half price on eBay. I stopped trying to use the Play and Charge and just use rechargeable AA batteries now. It still works in a pinch, but using a corded controller now just seems so 2000 and late.

I'm having similar problems. I would try a new battery pack and if that doesn't work then good old AA batteries
