Same thing was said about Smith, both in SF and in KC. I think Fitz has got plenty of game in him. Houston has plenty of pieces that he might be able to thrive in. I will never understand why people give no credence to the environment that these guys play in. It's as if the team around a QB has no effect on the performance of the QB himself. I don't KNOW that Fitz will break out with the Texans, nor do I KNOW that he won't. I'd think all these guys that make these blanket statements based on stats alone would settle down a bit after being so wrong about Smith.
There's a HUGE difference between Fitzpatrick and Smith when it comes to ball security. Fitzpatrick is the type of guy who actually loses games all by himself.

There was a tweet that said something like this:

"This just in: Texans plan to go 0-16 with Fitzpatrick as their starter."

I kind of agree there. If they lose out and get the #1 pick in the draft, they'll have their choice of Mariota any of the top QBs next year, who are all better than what was available this year. They just better hope that if they don't win 5-6 games cause that'll mess up any chance of a top QB for them, lol.
