Three Bucks!

I found three bucks!

I was just walking down the street on my way home, and I looked down, and there was a dollar. And so I picked it up, and it felt thick and it was three of them!

I think this was my second-greatest money find ever. When I was in high school, I found a $20 bill once, but it's long gone by now. I've got this three bucks burning a hole in my pocket now, and I may splurge on myself a little bit. Maybe buy a little something for the wifey, too, and maybe something for the cat. Somebody else's pain is going to be my pleasure.

One time in gym class in 6th grade, I found a $50 bill on the floor of a crowded gymnasium. I picked it up, peeing myself, and said aloud, "I just found $50!" My gym teacher then said, "oh, I was looking for that...thank you!" and took it from me.......

I died a little......

Also, when my wife was 11, she was in New York on a family vacation and got into the backseat of a taxicab with her grandma. She found a $100 bill on the seat cushion and without thinking twice, gave it to the cab driver and said, "sir, someone left this money back here!"

My dad found $800 in the phone book in his hotel room in Vegas a couple of years ago.

I've found money quite a few times over the years.
While going through a rapids at Current River or Jacks Fork...I reached down at a flash like Miagi with a goldfish in his hand and snatched up what turned out to be a lady-wallet....It had wet KOOL pack and a roll of money....most of which turned out to be $1s, I think like $35/$40. I split it with my cousin who was in my boat. I found $2 the next day as we put the canoes in at Montauk.

I found $40 at a gas station in college, on the way to a random road trip to Purdue with a friend to a party...and didn't really have the money to be going.

I've been lucky finding 5-10-$20s at events and parking lots over the years.

Used to find a lot of cash(not huge sums, just often) in cars the summers I worked for an auto crusher. The only time I felt icky about finding money was in a U shaped Dodge convertible....it was $17 and had blood on it.

I'm having quite the opposite happen to me. Seems every place I look here lately there is a hefty hospital bill attached to it.

Hmm, the lotto tickets thing is a good idea. I'm on a roll, so statistics say that I should win again.

After a great deal of thought, I invested the first dollar getting two new holes in one of my belts. My pants were about to fall down this morning, so I thought that was good use of a dollar.

Peach cobbler doesn't try to run when you cover it with ice cream.
