So, what are our chances of winning the division?

Did you see that juggernaut out there?

That Denver team is way better than last year's version. Manning is better. Their receivers are better. Without three of their most important defenders from last season, the Donkey defense turned Joe Flacco into a shit-eating rape monkey.

That team is a serious Super Bowl contender.

What are we?

no, that's actually just the easiest way to break your statement regarding Alex Smith's "indisputability."

I don't even know what your arbitrary criteria are for making that claim, but I'm assuming a veteran qb who has played at a high level? Possibly was a high draft pick? Palmer fits all of those, and has thrown for more yards and tds in his career.

**** palmer.

We were in the Manning sweepstakes, were we not.

Then why are we giving the Broncos credit for getting him, and we're shit on for settling for whatever else we can get? Both teams tried to do the same thing, did we not?

Could Smith stabilize our QB position, allowing our offense to develop until we can find a QB in the first round we actually like?

Could that be an option?

Donks have the division (and subsequent yearly one-and-done playoff choke) on lock until Peyton retires. Then the Chiefs have a short window to win it in between Peyton's retirement and the rise of the Clowney/Jameis Winston dynasty in San Diego.

That's exactly the case IF Alex doesn't work out.

What does Alex Smith "working out" look like?

The day he was brought in, Dorsey called him a stabilizer.

When is that gonna happen? We've been saying that exact same thing for decades. We just need to develop all the other positions on the team to perfection and then we can find the perfect qb later! That's a completely ass-backwards approach to the most important position in professional sports.

Besides, we only like quarterbacks if they're mediocre castoffs from San Fran.

Let me put it this way.
I have a better chance of hooking up & making porn with Jill Kelly then the Chiefs have of winning this division

Working means getting the Chiefs where they want to go. You need take the word "stabilizer" in full context. At the time, the Chiefs Offense was a joke. First you "stabilize" things. If Alex holds the offense back, he'll be replaced.

It's REALLY hard to put something at a less than 1 percent chance, especially in sports when anything can happen.

At this point in the season, even the Raiders have a greater than 1 percent chance of winning the division.

So I said we have a 1-10 percent chance of winning the division.
