An unusual situation is unfolding in Miami, where Dolphins right tackle Jonathan Martin has left the team after suffering an "emotional breakdown" this week.

NFL Media's Jeff Darlington reported Wednesday that Martin is currently seeking help with his family after an incident at the team's cafeteria, according to team sources.

Martin is listed on the team's injury report with an illness, and is doubtful to play Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Fox NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that Martin was the victim of a prank at the cafeteria, becoming enraged enough to "smash his food tray on the ground."

The second-year pro has not been with the team since that time. Darlington reports that Martin immediately sought treatment at a local hospital. He has since left the hospital and is now spending time with his family, according to team sources.

Martin opened the season as the Dolphins' replacement for Jake Long at left tackle. He was moved to right tackle when the team acquired Bryant McKinnie via trade last week. Tyson Clabo is expected to start in Martin's place on Thursday.

It'd be an interesting fight, well, presuming Incognito got a little time to actually learn how to fight.

Let's not forget, Jones is a light heavyweight. I don't think there's a human being alive that weighs less than 200 lbs that can take him, I agree. He's a terrifyingly strong, athletic, skilled cat. If they fought in the octagon, Richie could probably push him into a corner. At that point sheer mass/strength could do a lot of damage to Jones.

There's a reason Jones isn't dying to fight up a weight class - size makes a huge difference. But either way, I know I'd pay to see it...

You are one of the better posters here, but this might be one of your worst post. You are seriously underestimating the level of skill involved in MMA at that level. Richie might be an okay bar room brawler, but he would get his ass handed to him by any half assed trained flyweight that's not even a Bellator caliber fighter. Hell, I'd put money on one of these 150lb kids that fight MMA up in Joe town if the fight were today. Now give Richie a few years of training and it's possibly different.

Are you saying MMA doodes are gladiators or something? If so, you're right because NFL players are NOT gladiators!

That being said, I wrestled 171 and 189 "back in the day" and for some reason they didn't let the 119 and 125 guys kick our asses. Not sure why, I offered it. And oddly enough the one 285 we had, I never challenged.

So you point is not lost, Jon is pretty tough, but I think the difference in the ring might be their relative skills in their given professions, and I'm very sure Jon would suck trying to do Richie's job.

Perhaps they should agree to settle it over checkers!

And Jones would allow his QB to get sacked on 100% of pass plays. So what? Come to think of it, on a football field, Jones might very well get crush since he can't kick or punch the other guy.

And at 40 paces, Richie might be able to put a 3-inch pattern in Jones' kill-spot even as he's falling. Once again, so what?

The bottom line is Jones needs to shut the **** up and go back to being quiet!! I'll watch him next time his sport is on TV...
