Gerrard released

David Garrard - QB - Dolphins
Dolphins released QB David Garrard.

With experienced backup signal-callers such as Seneca Wallace and Brian Hoyer freely available, the Dolphins were unable to land even a late-round pick for Garrard or Matt Moore. Even though Garrard had emerged as the front-runner early in training camp, it made little sense to keep him on the roster at $2.25 million once Ryan Tannehill had been announced as the starter. Expected to be back to full health in a week or two, Garrard shouldn't be out of work for very long.

Yea yea he's always hurt, but he's much better than Cassel, I'm game. Anyone else?

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Noooooooooooooooooooo ........ we need to take care of all this QB stuff this year.

Cassel - gets to play and get destroy one final time against Baltimore. Cassel's time is over
Quinn's turn --- if he fails then we know to cut him and move on
Stanzi's turn --- if he fails then we know to cut him and move on

if they all fail then we will have lost almost every game and be in position to use a high pick on a QB.

Not a fan of getting an average QB who is not a fix. He would just hurt our draft position like Orton last year

He's better then what we have, but we'll end up mid pack in the draft because of it.

It will take him a month to learn the system... Cut Matt, put in Quinn and dream about drafting a franchise QB next April

No.

Bench Cassel. Ride with Quinn or Stanzi for the rest of the year. Draft Best QB Available in round one.

I have no interest in a mediocre starter coming in here and dropping us to the 12th pick while Smith, Wilson, and Barkley all go in the top 10.

It seems so obvious that this should be the path forward, but I doubt it will go down this way.
