I really don't like Phantom Menace at all which is kind of weird because Liam Neeson is the shit and Darth Maul seems like a pimp.

You know why - JarJar. His very character is so out of place in all the movies that it is somewhat uncomfortable. Lucas was doing this to wow the little kids and infuse a whole new generation with love for cute comedic Star Wars characters. I don't think it turned out exactly like he hoped.

Outstanding SFX, shit writing. That pretty much sums up the prequels.

He is pretty annoying but it's more than him and I can't place a finger on it..

I generally enjoy watching Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith but Hayden Christiansen or whatever his name is really pisses me off with his angsty-teen-in-love bullshit.

Attack of the Clones is my least favorite of all 6 films. A huge chunk of the middle portion of the film is sleep inducing.

Alot of the CGI isn't even good.

It looks awful.

The theme and tone for the prequels was just all wrong. Nothing was truly fun, outside of the light saber battles, the pod race and some of the space battles. The characters were wooden but worst of all was Anakin's fall to the dark side.

It would have been so much cooler to see him as a child, angry at the universe, because he grew up a slave without a father. Along come the Jedi, which help to ease his pain somewhat but ultimately, would not be enough. Then, he would begin dabbling in Sith techniques, only to have the Emperor, whose identity and screen time limited to a few final minutes of the third film, make him his apprentice as the credits roll.

No political machinations, no love story, no Gungans, no Jar Jar. Just Anakin's path to the dark side of the Force. And Luke and Leia should have been the product of a one night stand or even better, rape.

I could buy an angry Darth Vader that raped a women who spawned the children that ultimately saved him versus a lovesick douchewad that murdered unsuspecting children.

The prequels just sucked.

That would have been seriously awesome. More fights and emotion. Less poorly executed love.

Instead we find out Vader was a whiney, wife beating, emo teen idiot...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
