****Official 2013-14 Missouri Tiger Football Repository Thread****

We have two things to look forward to this year:

1) The potential beginning of the Maty Mauk Era. Mauk represents the best chance for this program to get back to a level of respectability after horrendous QB play cost us multiple games last year.

2) The last year of the Gary Pinkel era. Pinkel's entrenched cronyism won't play in a conference this competitive, especially if he couples his abysmal gameday coaching with lackadaisical, worst-in-conference recruiting. Pinkel was the formerly adequate meal that has now turned into a four pound bowel obstruction. It's time to jam a Fleet's enema up our collective asses.

Here is the schedule. We dodge Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas in the west and the Non-con is decidedly weaker than years past.

8/31: Murray State
9/7: Toledo
9/21: @ Indiana
9/28: Arkansas State
10/5:@ Vanderbilt
10/12: @ Georgia
10/19:Florida
10/26: South Carolina
11/2:Tennessee
11/9: @ Kentucky
11/23: @ Ole Miss
11/30: aTm

Looks like 6-6. Undefeated in non-con, 2-6 in league play.

I will eventually update the OP with a list of high profile in-state recruits that decide to go elsewhere after a half-assed attempt to gain their services. The inevitable cavalcade of *** rejects, skeezers, skanks, and scalliwags we get will fill out the ranks.

Razors, cyanide capsules, and Jonestown Kool-Aid are available in the break room. Second door on the left.

Since every Mizzou thread eventually dies of AIDS, I recommend starting anti-retroviral therapy immediately. I believe Walgreens covers Express Scripts.

Premium In-State Players:

Roderick Johnson: **** OT, Florissant, MO.
Monte Harrison: **** WR, Lee's Summit, MO.
Jimmy Swain: **** LB, Lee's Summit, MO

Commitment List: From to and possibly

Spoiler!

He recently put Missouri back in his top 5. Spoke about it over the weekend.

Basically, seeing Aarion Penton play as a true freshman made him interested again. Apparently, he's one of the guys in St. Louis that believes the claims of some... that St. Louis guys get a bad shake at Mizzou, even if they're better than the guys playing in front of them.

Which is complete and utter bullshit, but you know, whatever.

We'd offered him, but I hadn't really considered him much of a possibility either. I honestly thought maybe his offer was something we just followed through on after promising it during Ronnie's recruiting.

But if we can get him, I'd love to have him.

The one he doinked against TN was absolutely smoked off the upright. It shook the goalposts at the base. It was hilariously centered and had enough velocity of the upright to make it all the way back out to the LOS.

He's kicking those chippies way too damn hard. Just be calm, line it up and guide it on through. Instead he's giving these full swings at them and kicking them dead straight.

It looks like he's just being an idiot to me and not adjusting his power to the need.

We have 25 right now. Are they expecting attrition in this recruiting class? Surely they aren't going to pull offers from committed players?

How are they expecting to balance guys like Wingo, Smith, and Brandon Lee? They're all significantly better recruits than almost anyone else in the class.

I saw it from the SC side of the field, but that one wasn't exactly smoothed in there, either. I'll take the mother****er to Perche Creek and teach him how to hit a cut if I need to. Missouri has had enough problems with wacky shit over the years to have to worry about a headcase kicker too.

Who has whipped on Britt?

Probably the worst thing I've seen about him is from me, when I said that Clowney would pull his cock through his ass, and Clowney was disruptive for a good chunk of that game.

They only took 17 last year (banked Hosick and Printz to 2012 class, lost Thompson and Abbington to juco). That gives them 8 spots to play with above 25.

They could take 33 if they can find 8 kids to enroll in January and count towards last year's scholarship limit of 25. More likely they take 3-4 extra. I know Bauer for sure is a January enrollee. Not sure about who else.

Marvin Zanders is looking around and may not be long for the commit list, so that potentially opens up another spot.

It comes from people searching for excuses for why St. Louis players are not awesome, I think.

If a kid (say his name is Wolandis Roodland) goes to Mizzou and never makes an impact on the playing field, it must be because the coaches are idiots and playing slow white boys (say his name is M.J. Toe) at his spot.

However, if Wolandis instead goes to Ohio State and never plays, well, he got his education and didn't develop enough to see the field.

Stupid double standard being driven by a few "connected" guys in the Lou, from what I can gather. St. Louis arrogance... they have quite a bit of it when it comes to football prospects, not really sure why (maybe because KC continually kicks their ass in state title games and it's an expression of insecurity?)

Exactly - he tried to stroke that SC kick as well. It looks like he's just trying to blast everything through. I didn't see the GA XP, but I have to figure he did the same thing.

He needs to choke up on his swing, so to speak.
