Chen didn't last three goddamned innings because he is firmly entrenched as a reliever. He didn't make it past 80 pitches without giving stuff up last year. He has zero starter left in him. you guys need to get a goddamned grip.

Sounds good to me.

As of tomorrow morning, I'll have no memory of this game. I'll remember we killed the Indians, and then mysteriously lost the 2nd game somehow.

Twinks are above .500.

Shouldn't last given that pitching staff but still. Kind of a shocker through April.

Well, if we want to stay in first we're going to have to keep winning no matter who we play. That's just part of the deal. We've played to the level of competition so far this year. Tonight is our first clunker in awhile.

Screw the Pirates. They gave Dirty Sanchez a starting pitching spot, and he was head hunting vs. St. Louis two nights ago. That guy is a stain on baseball.

Getting a flashback to prior Royal years. Some teams measure what they need to come back in runs, I used to measure what we need in grand slams.

We need 1 3/4 grand slams to tie, 2 grand slams to win.

Oh FFS Chen could have easily given you 5 innings after all those days off. Again, it wouldn't have mattered tonight because the whole team sucked ***, but to pretend that Chen couldn't have went 5 is just stupid.

I'm fine with starting Will Smith. Mendoza was not an option. If my alternative is Chen, and Will Smith is rocking and rolling in Omaha, then I give the kid a shot.

As it turned out, looks like Smith still needs to work on some stuff.

So we need to double our total for the season in tonights game. Let's do it!

I wonder how that start would have gone had Moose not flubbed that possible DP ball.
