Anyone else using Yahoo mail and Windows 8?

I've used Yahoo for my mail for 20 years now. I can't stand how Gmail started the 'conversation' type emails. Yahoo later followed suit and it really ticked me off. I hate that! Phones have really messed up how our laptops work, IMO.

So the conversation thing had me pissed off enough to switch. Then, ever since my new laptop came with Windows 8, I noticed it really hangs up. A lot. Like, I can type 1 letter at a time when composing emails.

Checking my Yahoo emails on the mac still works ok (except for the damn conversations).

Anyone else using this combination?

How are you using it? Are you simply opening a web browser and navigating to mail.yahoo.com?

It's pretty simple to turn of conversation view in both Gmail and Yahoo Mail webpages.

Gmail:
  1. Open Gmail.
  2. Click the gear in the top right.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Conversation View section (stay in the "General" tab).
  5. Choose Conversation view on or Conversation view off.
  6. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

Yahoo Mail:
  1. Open Yahoo Mail.
  2. Click the gear in the top right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Under Viewing Email, find "When viewing message lists"
  5. Choose Enable Conversations on or off.
  6. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

Thanks. That helps. I think many of my issues are using IE in default mode. Seems I'm constantly having to go to 'view in desktop' mode to get the browser to work correctly.

The problem isn't yahoo. It's that you're using IE.
