Used to be a good CHIEFS board but it dropped off a bit. They have a few Royals threads going.

This has turned into a weird dynamic.

We're basically spying on each other, and part of what we're both spying on is the process of spying.

Let me chime in as someone who lives up here. First of all, NYC smells like piss and a lot of people are giant assholes. Putting that aside, pizza and bagels in this area are worlds better than anywhere else. Add in 24 hour diners and pork roll. Also, Uber is everywhere and people constantly use it in NY. The only local team I root for is the Devils, and since no one said anything about them, we can still be friends. Everything else is true though.

This is an oldie but a goody. http://www.theonion.com/article/84-m...w-york-c-18003

Pretty much know how this is all going to end. The trash talking will start out civil then expect them to guarantee they will roll over KC because their team is that much better. If things go their team's way that will just confirm how knowledgeable they are, if not then it will be because of luck or poor calls by the umps that cost their team games. Inevitably they will break out the "East Coast" big city superiority complex (as being from a big city somehow makes you better person than being from the midwest) and start mocking the fans here. If the Royals win it all they will become as insufferable as O's and Blue Jays fans. This narrative has been played out multiple times in the past couple of years and I expect it to be much the same.
