Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

At any rate, I'd just be ****ing happy with a QB that just didn't make dumbass mistakes over and over again and can put the team on their back every once in awhile.

If we can land an Aaron Rodgers type of QB, great. This team will be a contender with a Matt Ryan, too. I mean ****, we almost went undefeated with Kyle Orton.

The top 3 have enough ability to get the team to where it needs to be, as long as they don't botch the development.

Look, not everybody has to agree, that's the whole point of having discussions. You're okay with giving up the moon for the chance at an "also ran" prospect turning into a franchise player, and that's fine. I can respect that. But I'm not. If I'm giving up the moon, it's only going to be for an actual franchise calibre talent, someone like Luck or Griffin. Not plan C guys like we're discussing.
sorry, but this is just a classed up version of 'of noes it risky!'

if sanchez and tannehill are "plan C" guys for you, then you're never going to draft a QB...

i can't believe after all this time that people still believe this stuff...

People thought Joe Flacco, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Christian Ponder and Andy Dalton weren't worthy of top picks either...and all those guys have turned out to be pretty good QBs.

KC's opponents have a worse winning % than the Browns. The Chiefs have the #1 pick currently secured

TT only gives up 16 points a game. Texas gives up 32 including 63 to OU. That is a big ****ing difference jackass. Show me a game Geno had without having to catch up. if garbage time numbers make a player great then CasseLLLLL is the shit. So bake that Vienna sausage bitch.

I'm on board. Geno or Wilson (I still like him a lot) have to be on our team next year. Still torn on Barkley. None of the others like Murray or jones will do

Ummm...how about the 2012 Orange Bowl where West Virginia rang up 70 points on the #13 ranked Clemson Tigers?

Geno was 31 of 42 for 401 yards (eclipsed Tom Brady's Orange Bowl yardage record) and six TD's in that one (another Orange Bowl record).
