Good Luck to Tony G Today

This football weekend would be made much better if Tony G gets a playoff win today. He's played in five playoff games and lost them all. Like to see him get to taste a victory at least once in his career. Class guy, Hall of Famer, and he'll go in the Hall as a Chief.

Go Falcons! Go get one for TG today.

The life of a KC sports fan. It's always fun to root for all of our homegrown players that win for other teams!

He is unquestionably the greatest tight end to ever play, and is a sure fire Hall of Famer. He quit on the team I root for, so I don't feel the need to tickle his nutsack in admiration for what he does with other teams.

If he dogged it in his final year with the team I would say he quit on the team the way Zack Greinke dogged it in his last season for the Royals. Neil Smith quit on the Chiefs in 96 and then went to the donks when no team would meet his outrageous contract demands so **** him.

Tony gave it his all when he played for the Chiefs in every game. He didn't want to be a part of yet another rebuild and you can't blame him for that. I don't give a shit whether or not he was a dick in person. I don't have any multimillionaire athletes that kick it in my entourage.

Yup. The Chiefs also agreed that he needed to move on as they made the decision to trade him.

How many times did we hear stories about Tony G being the first out on the practice field. Staying late to run routes and shag balls out of a machine? Spend the off season in the gym trying to get bigger and faster? Did he not play hard every game? Did it not seem at times that Tony G was the only one that cared about winning on some teams? Some of you guys are not remembering his attitude and work ethic correctly.

Like I said I was around Tony G for years. We were not best friends or anything like that but I was around enough that if I walked up to him down in ATL, he would know my name. I saw him in many fan interactions where everyone wanted his autograph or time. Mainly this was charity work so maybe he was on his P's and Q's. But, I never once saw Tony G be rude to a fan, not once. Just what I witnessed.

Except for Tony isn't a classy guy. He fakes it for the cameras. But he's an ahole athlete who feels like they're entitled to everything. He screwed hard working people out of their money in KC while pulling down millions of dollars. "Do you know who I am?" Screw him and the Falcons.

I have not met Tony but I am not surprised he is a pampered athlete who has a sense of entitlement. However if that is the criteria you are using than it is a very safe assumption that there are few who play in the NFL that pass your test. The reason I said he was a class player is because he is the best at his position ever, he has never acted like a clown on the field and I have not read about him being charged for any crimes or embarrassing behavior off the field.

I guess I view things differently than some people. I do not look at people who play sports as heroes. They are no different to me than people who sing songs or play pretend in movies. They are nothing more than entertainers. IMO Tony Gonzales has given Chief fans no reason to hate him~

Who gives a shit.

Tony G was one of the best players in Chiefs history and the trading of him for Javier Arenas is the symbol of Fat Scott's Reign of Terror.

"Screwing hard working people out of their money in KC" sounds like Warpaint Illustrated and any dumbshit who paid a subscription fee for that piece of trash.

One of the attorneys in my office is married to the ex-wife of a famous former Chicago Bear (I won't say who he is, but you'd all know the name). He's essentially raising the guy's kids, obviously knows him and many other current and former Bears players personally. I asked the attorney if he could name any of them who was a decent person, and he just shook his head.

We don't like these guys because they're nice. I guess if I'd run into some pro-athlete that was a complete prick to me I might harbor a grudge, but I haven't.

At this point, I just want a winner. If we draft a QB that leads us to a Super Bowl victory, he can smear shit in orphans' faces for all I care.

But it was the 19-yard catch up the middle when nothing but a catch would save the Falcons with 14 seconds left that might end up being the defining moment of his brilliant career.

No heartbreaker this time. The big guy finally had a big win.

"Probably the best catch I've ever had, even though it was one of the easiest," Gonzalez said. "Matt put it on my chest. It's the most important catch I've had in my life. I'll never forget it."
