The ATV/UTV Discussion Thread

So what do you roll with? What accessories do you have on your beasts and where do you like to ride?

Post some pictures of your machine and or riding adventures if you would like.

It is and I wouldn't own one without it at this point. It makes a big difference at the end of the day in how a guy feels after crushing boulder fields.

I'm certainly not crushing boulders. I'm a flat lander. Even cruising down the road and through fields makes a difference.

You know I had never had the hand and thumb warmers on a machine until this one. I was wheeling with my brother last year and it rained and snowed nonstop for the entire time we were up there. (4 days) My hands felt like a pair a crab claws from the cold, My brother seemed to be fine. As it turned out he had the heated grips. I went over and grabbed ahold of them and decided at that point my next machine would have them. If your hands, head or feet get wet and cold, you're hosed.

Just got a 2012 AC Prowler 700. My damn kid had it at his car dealership and now I have it. Don't know anything about it other than the reviews on the interweb say it's junk. If it keeps raining like it did last night I may need it to get to work.

Im looking at the Yamaha Viking, probably wait to see what the 2016s are going to be like but they seem to have the power and ability to actually do work not just ride around as a go fast toy.

Found a dealer who fabricates beds for them that are pretty slick and customizable.

Another thing I started doing which I never have before is I wear a helmet most of the time. I mount my GoPro on top of the thing which keeps it a lot cleaner than mounting it on the front of the machine. As an added bonus if I have a run in with a tree, boulder field or grizzly bear on the trail, it should protect my bean while I pick myself up or start slinging lead depending on the situation.

Dont know if was funny or not but a crew when we were working Northern Nevada had this happen to them. That Polaris is less than 1 week old. Fuel line was ripped out from driving over sage and scrub oak.

Also burned up 3 fence posts melded the barb wire and burned up some grazing land. It burned up and melted a 28,000.00 Survey grade Trimble GPS data rover. No body was hurt and the crew had forgot the fire extinguisher that day so they say.

Neighbor had a brand new 450 HP articulated tractor do that to them. Driveshaft broke and obliterated the fuel lines which pumped them onto the exhaust. I don't know what the price tags are on those bastards but going to go with 300,000 ish and another 25K for the GPS.
