You have to look at .OPS.

His .OPS needs to be at least .800

Right now it is at .608, which is terrible

Moose is at .458.

TO OFFER SOME COMPARISON:

JEFF FRANCOUER, THE WORST REGULAR IN MLB IN 2012, HAD A .665 OPS

So yes. His .261 BA means absolutely NOTHING.
