Big move in the Draft

Is there any way the chiefs would make a big move in the drat to get an impact player that could make a differnce in '06. Like M. Williams or the top DT in the draft. If the get T.O. and the faiders get the love boat from M.N. and the chargers are going to be able to pick before us. Isnt time for the Chiefs to do something big, make some kind of big statment? I'm a Die Hard Chiefs fan, and it kills me year after year that I have to watch my friends, or, one my family's member's team in the playoffs. I meen I'm ready to hit someone in the mouth if they talk about our team. Thats why CP needs to do something for the fans . The Chiefs fans are the best fans in the NFL, Make a big move for us we deserve it.

Not a bad group aside from the cheap shot Donkey. I agree that at 20th there isn't any reason we can't find talent that should start this coming year.

There will be some players there, problem is this team has a history of not picking the right guy........

The problem with the Chiefs is not where we pick, or how much salary cap room we'll have.

1) I GUARANTEE that we'll spend every bit of cap space we have.

2) I GUARANTEE that a good/great player will be pick at #20 or after in the 1st round.

The Chiefs problems, and the answers to both 1 and 2 above are the same:

It's who the Chiefs choose. THAT is the problem.

They select the wrong guy in the draft and they spend their available cap money in the "off year" of the 2-year cycle on shit like Jerome Woods, Greg Wesley, and Eric Hicks.

Usually, the thinking is that there are about 20 impact players in any given draft, you just have to be good (and lucky) enough to take one of them.

This is thought to be an unusually deep draft. I have no doubt that you guys will have some excellent choices at the 20th spot.

Pats are right behind you at 21. I wouldn't be surprised to see us move up a little (no higher than 15), stay right where we are, or drop back some picks in order to pick up extra picks. BB/SP love to do that when they think there is a strong board and there's alot of value in the 2nd (especially) and 3rd rounds.

Don't focus too much on just who was taken at #20 in prior drafts. Look at the 18-25 range and you'll see lots of very good players selected over the years. Just gotta use the pick wisely. The value is there, you just need to SEE it.
