Well?

Discuss.

I'm not a huge fan, although I do keep one in my bike bag because space is limited. But yeah, it's always been my experience that anything that does multiple things generally doesn't do any of those things really well.

Ended up going with the Leatherman Wave.

I also bought a bunch of other shit to store in my truck. It has built in toolboxes below the back seats, but there's not enough room. Looking for quality back seat storage if anyone has recommendations for that too.

Otherwise, good night.

Forgot duct tape. Gotta have that too. With all this, you are pretty prepared for minor auto inconveniences

Well I just bought

Multi Tool
Pro LED Maglite
12 D Batteries
S&W Folding Knife that also has a seat belt cutter and window breaker
Bungee Cords
Nylon Rope (just for tying stuff down in the bed if need be, or general purpose)
A couple caribiners (sp?)

I also have the 4 adjustable tie-down things in there (since I don't want people to steal them) and the tools the car came with.

I had duct tape in the cart but I took it out before checking out because I can get it cheaper at Walmart or something.

I'm going to Harbor Freight tomorrow to buy some ratchetable tie-downs and a torque wrench.

Still need to work on a first-aid kit and storage.

I keep my bungees in the latch able box in the side of the bed. I've never had any stolen. The tacomas kick ass. I just went and looked in mine. I also have a hunting knife, wool hat, and led head lamp that fits on a baseball cap ( no baseball cap tho, will have to look into this).
I've "saved" lots of people at our tailgates with the first aid kit, duct tape, and zip ties. U never know.

Yeah, I was just thinking how useful zip ties can be.

I forgot about those storage boxes in the bed of the truck. I'll probably put the bungees in there since they are cheap if I have to replace them.

U can pretty much find bungees on the side of the road. Yeah, I'm that guy that pulls over in the lane and picks them up. I have lots of them

We do have a generator that the kill switch is bad on so there is a grounded wire that you touch to the spark plug to kill the ignition. Of course the insulation is all cracked and there is about a 75% chance it's going to bite you so I find new and creative ways to kill the spark if I don't have an insulated screwdriver.

I just went and bought some stackable plastic drawers for the backseat of my pickup. Works great.

as far as shit you need, buy the following:
a receiver hitch and 2" ball and stow that under your seat.
A good sturdy pair of gloves.
A can of penetrating oil
A good pair of small channel lock pliers.
At least a Phillips and flat screwdriver.
Metric wrench set
Crescent wrench.
1 lb ball peen hammer
Ratchet straps
Tow rope
Jumper cables (good ones)
Portable 12v air compressor (can be cheap)

There is a magnitude of other hand tools you should buy but I wouldn't outfit. Pickup with any less.
