Chiefs 2018 Milestones To Watch

Some things for you to watch. All records are Chiefs only, not NFL, unless stated otherwise.

Patrick Mahomes is currently ranked 35th in all time passing yards for the Chiefs. He needs 1,365 yards to move into the top 20 alongside Pete Beathard, and 4,069 to move into the top 15 alongside Dave Krieg.

Kareem Hunt is currently ranked 26th all time in rushing yards. He needs 249 yards to tie Tony Richardson for 20th, and 934 to tie Kimble Anders for 15th, and 1,367 to tie Herman Heard for 10th. Spencer Ware is 3 yards behind Kareem, so you can do the same thing for him.

Travis Kelce is currently 9th all time in receiving yards. He needs 1,330 yards to tie Eddie Kennison for 8th. (There's a big chasm between 8 and 9, which is odd.)

Travis Kelce is currently 10th all time in receptions. He needs 84 receptions to tie Chris Burford for 5th.

Tyreek Hill is currently 27th in all time receiving yards. He needs 80 yards to tie Todd McNair at 25th, 601 to tie Priest Holmes at 20th, and 963 to tie Abner Haynes for 15th. 1,909 yards would tie him with Derrick Alexander for 10th.

Tyreek Hill is currently 6th in all time punt return yards. He needs 163 to tie Dexter McCluster for 5th, which is probably the only time I'll ever mention Tyreek and McCluster in the same sentence.

Justin Houston is 4th all-time in sacks, and needs 16 sacks to tie Neil Smith for third place all time.

Dee Ford is 14th all-time in sacks, and needs 10.5 to tie Dan Saleaumua for 10th.

Allen Bailey is 21st all-time in sacks, and needs 3.0 to tie Duane Clemens and Donnie Edwards for 15th all time.

Eric Berry is 26th all time in interceptions, and needs 5 to tie (ahem) Marcus Peters and Dave Grayson for the 20th spot.

Eric Berry currently ranks 54th in career starts. If (when) he starts all 16 games this year, he'll move up to 36th in a tie with Gary Barbaro.

Travis Kelce is 21st in total touchdowns all time, and needs 10 touchdowns to tie Carlos Carson at 15th.

Tyreek Hill has 20 total touchdowns, and needs 4 to tie Tony Richardson for 20th.

Harrison Butker is 33rd in all-time points scored, and he needs 56 to tie Carlos Carson at 25th, and 81 to tie Morten Andersen at 20th. 148 points would move him up to 15th in a tie with Tommy Brooker.

Dustin Colquitt has the 6th most seasons with the team. As soon as he appears in a game this year, he'll move into a tie for 2nd with Ed Budde, Len Dawson, Nick Lowery, and Will Shields. Only Jerrell Wilson will have more seasons. Every punt Dustin makes this year will set a new franchise records for punts and punt yards.

In NFL history, Colquitt is currently 21st in career punts. With 18 punts this year, he will tie Ray Guy for 20th all time. He is currently 16th in punt yards, and will tie Chris Mohr for 15th with another 224 yards. 3,035 will tie him with Craig Hentrich for 10th all time.

I’m trying to come up with a single memorable play made by Herman Heard.

I think it's cool that his name is a complete and proper sentence.

This. God I love Rain Man compilations.

I think the best post I’ve ever seen on here was the one Rain Man wrote about Dwayne Bowe in the “ranking the draft picks” thread he started. If someone were to ask me, “rico, what’s the best post you’ve ever read on here?” That post would come to mind and so would SNR’s roast of Donger. That post alone needs to be in the Hall of Classics so it can be easier found.

They seem to think they're better at downing a ball that the punter drops within the 10 yard line than at directional punting out of bounds.
