I don't know anything about Nebraska, but I saw something about them being basically a co-No. 1 seed (Missouri being the weakest 1 seed and Nebraska the strongest 2). Meh.

They'll let Jamieson play out his contract (one year remaining) and then bring in Tony Vitello to be the head coach. I imagine he'll do pretty well.

Hopefully, no one snaps up Vitello in the mean time.

From what I understand, this was a rebuilding year for them as well.

Mizzou added a JUCO DE today who actually will be counted as part of the 2014 class, Eddie Heard.

Looks like someone who can contribute right away. Decent size, pretty solid freshman year at JUCO. Has 4 years to play 3.

Nice pickup.

"At neighboring Laney College Eddie Heard is no slouch on his own as he enters the summer with offers from Cal, Oregon, Cincinnati, Fresno State, Missouri and Washington with Washington State also lurking. Heard finished with 23 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, four sacks and three passes broken-up, also recovering two fumbles. At 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds he has a sensational frame with room to grow, and should be one of the top weakside ends in a region with a lot of talent in 2014. Heard is also a guy that may not even make it to the 2014 season as Missouri has expressed interest in taking him immediately as a 2014 class prospect. He looks tremendous on film with the ability to stand up off the edge or play with his hand in the dirt. Our feeling is that he will leave, but if he doesn't he will be one of the top prospects in the country."

Mike Fairchild (** OT) impressed during spring drills. He was an early enrollee and only a ** prospect, but he may actually figure in the OL rotation next season.
