I'm trying to figure out in what world a late 4th round pick is the exact same thing as an early 2nd.

Gabe Jackson does kick ass. For a 3rd round pick.

Thomas, and guys like him such as McCluster, look fast on the field because of their diminutive size and the agility that gives them when compared to the giants surrounding them, but the guy ran a 4.50.

Try to invent new ways to extrapolate that into something faster, but you can't.

So, yes, by all actual factualness, Thomas is 1/100th of a second faster than Dwayne Bowe. Thomas is 8/100ths of a second faster than Dexter McCluster.

If that pisses you off, take it up with Thomas himself. But that is an undisputable fact. Just because the Chiefs drafted this cat doesn't mean that all of a sudden his official, measured by laser Combine 40 time of 4.50 is now a 4.17 hand timed Bo Jackson level event.

Man, I can't believe how many suckers are just lining up to dip their cup in the Dorsey Decision Lens trough of Kool-Aid.

"The Chiefs picked these guys so they are going to be the most uber-fantastic of all draft picks of all time!!1!11!"

Suck it down fanboys!

Chief fans after every draft:

So what about him running a 10.31 100m dash?

I'm ok with the pick, didn't fawn over it but didn't hate it. That said, the fact that you're basing the guy's ability on one 40 time at the combine and using that to beat people over the head is funny. He's fast, maybe not record breaking fast. But he's also quick as hell and goes from zero to 60 in a heartbeat. I can see that watching video of real games, not by watching his combine 40 times. I hope it translates to the NFL, but understand that it may not. For a 4th round pick, I'm ok with taking a shot on a potential home run hitter.

Thomas also managed two times under 4.4 at his pro day (reports of which ranged from 4.33/4.34 to 4.37/4.39), something which McCluster did not. Dex's pro day times were 4.44 and 4.45 as I recall. Which, sure, was better than his 4.56 or 4.59 at the combine, but not blazing by any means. Thomas is clearly faster.

Looks like he's going to miss some of the OTAs.

An NFL rule prohibiting players from participating in offseason workouts until their academic calendar is complete will cost Chiefs fourth round pick De'Anthony Thomas some OTAs.

Clearly. And they are the same size coming out, with only a 2 lb difference.

Basically, we signed McCluster for the league minimum, then traded our 4th round pick to a warlock to make him younger, faster, and without that stupid hair.

Oakland also got a much better linebacker prospect (Mack vs. Ford), QB prospect (Carr vs. Murray), CB prospect (McGill vs. Gaines) and OG (Jackson vs. that ****ing guy the Chiefs picked who won't make it past the first cuts) prospect.

Add in DT Justin Ellis and S Jon Dowling, the Raiders had a terrific draft. A foundation level draft.

The Chiefs look like they are standing in the middle of a field with their dick in their hand.
