I think that they draft Geno.

Neither tackle (Fisher or Joeckel) is an elite level prospect in the mold of an Okung or Thomas. They can get basically the same guy in the third through fifth round.

Alex Smith wasn't extended past the two years left on his current deal and hasn't finished but two full seasons and is coming off a concussion that sidelined him in 2012.

I think that they look at the ceiling Geno has to offer versus the other players and they pull the trigger. Both Reid and Dorsey have picked players very similar to Geno Smith in McNabb and Rogers and it's paid off for them in spades.

They aren't pressured to take any one single position and they are operating from a true "BPA" situation. I think Geno is the "BPA" in this draft when you consider his experience, production and upside, as well as the position he plays.
You have been one of the top two draft Geno guys on the board. I don't think it's going to happen but you have an interesting theory.

If true we have a deal anytime we want to accept that offer. Sales? If you try and sell something to cheap your buyers will balk because they'll think something ain't right. Try and sell it for more and they'll want it!

An hour or so ago, Pioli made a point...he said KC hasn't given permission for Albert to take a physical for Miami.

No team is gonna do a deal without a physical for a player that missed the last 3 games to injury.
