Broncos expected to sign Kirk Cousins

Just saw live on The Herd on FS1. He got a text from the source live on air and said that the source has told him that Cousins will be signing with Denver and that they were already working on a deal (tampering?)

Regardless, there you go.

If the Broncos sign Cousins, Talib is probably gone. Denver’s defense is slowly eroding.

Isnt Cousins just an Alex Smith clone? Nice stats, but chokes when the stakes are high....

Worse than Smith. He can't take care of the ball.

When I think of denver I would rather they have smith. As much as I hated him smith, cousins is the only available who could be a little better. After that serious drop off so I would just want denver to get neither. 1 down 1 to go.

I doubt they decide to keep Talib regardless of who's playing QB.

I believe theres some truth there, on their face, Cousins stats are miles above Smith in some respects

He will take the risky shots, he'll try to push the ball downfield, the only problem with that... is that his arm isnt quite as good as he thinks it is

The peanut gallery can guffaw all it wants, but I'll take Smith over Cousins 8 days a week... he is fools gold in a QB starved market IMO, dear God I hope Denver sells its soul for him

No way. Anyone who says he is, hasn't watched enough of him. He's been my fantasy football QB the last two years in a row, therefore I watched him quite a bit when the Chiefs weren't playing. The guy is a gamer...fiery and fun to watch. Nothing like Smith.

I don't know who to compare him to. Arm strength is fine. He's able to extend plays. He's competitive as hell. He has EXCELLENT pocket presence. Good accuracy.

I'll be sick if the Donks get him because I really like watching Cousins play QB and don't want to root against him, which I obviously would do if he played for the Donks. I don't think he guy has reached his ceiling yet, either...the guy has a ton of potential.

No. Smith is better than Cousins. Losing the ball 60 times in 3 years assures that. The Chiefs D woulda gave up near 30 a game with Kirks rate of giving the ball up. Say what you want about Alex, but he saves his team points every year. The good news is we got a guy better than thise two turds so....

They are inverse mirror images of one another

The the best part about all of this is, its someone else' argument now

Meanwhile, KC moves forward with the most exciting prospect since Favre or Rodgers... see ya, bitches!

Alex smith had almost that many in his first 3 years. While missing 18 games. Then had over 40 his next 3, while missing 12.

Players grow.

There's more to an offense than just not throwing INT's.

In KC, there isn't anything Alex did that Cousins couldn't do and/or do better ththan we past 5 seasons...except for Alex is a better rushing QB from what I've seen.

This. I feel like I can talk Chiefs now without resorting to getting into flame wars.

Great post.

And I think Cousins is a prime example of a QB that will continue to steadily grow/improve.

Ditching the whole Smith thing, will likely be the best thing to ever happen around here

Every side of it, should now be able to find common cause with one another... we're all Chiefs fans, after all

And who better to circle the wagons around, than the sexiest mother****er to come down the pike since Favre or Rodgers...

The Cassel era infuriated me, but brought out an apathetic, "wtf" induced goofball side of me.

The Smith era also infuriated me and the Alexsexuals brought out the asshole in me.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off. Mahomes may bust...but right now, for once God dammit, I'm actually freaking excited about Chiefs football again.
