What's the most money you've ever won in the lottery?
Back in 1988, I won $3,800 with two quick pick tickets in CA. I actually drove past a Quick Trip and a voice in my head told me to turn around and buy lottery tickets. Unfortunately, that voice has never spoken to me again.

In the lottery, $100.

I took a girlfriend down to Deadwood, SD for the weekend years ago and hit $3200 in a slot machine. I was waiting for her to get ready for dinner and hit the lobby to wait. I ordered a beer and threw $5 in a slot machine, I almost never play those damn things. If I gamble, I like Black Jack.

It was a quarter machine and on the 3rd pull, I hit something and the machine went nuts, lights flashing, bells, whistles, the whole nine yards. Some old hide comes running over and starts jumping up and down like a little kid in a candy store. She says, "YOU WON! YOU WON!" It took me a little while to figure out exactly what I had hit.

No doubt, because that was only the 2nd time I had ever put money into one. I bet I have only played them twice, after I hit that jackpot as well, for $5 a pop. It's just not my thing, even after the big score.

Last summer i was on vacation with my wife and mother-in-law and they wanted me to buy them scratcher tickets at a truck stop we stopped at. Bought 10 of them and gave half to my mother-in-law and half to my wife. Well, wouldn't you know my mother-in-law won $1000 from hers, but my wife didn't win anything. Then I get in trouble for not giving my wife the winning ticket! That's by far the most I've "won", and I didn't even get the money.

Back in 1990, I bought 5 scratch off tickets and got a free ticket, a 5 dollar winner, then an 800 dollar winner. After I sent the claim form in for my 800 dollars, I got a phone call from a radio station and they made a short commerical with me. I got it right on the second take. They even sent me a cassette of the ad.
