I'm not getting the appeal of that.
Let me be clear. I get the appeal of a death pool ( |

Well if I get to go I will be sure to be the first to die. Most likely from breaking apart in mid~air.

I did a slide at Atlantis the other weekend (in the Bahamas) that is 60 feet, near vertical, with no raft. It's just you on your back. It actually wasn't scary at all.
It was pretty intense speed though, when you get to the bottom you are skipping like a stone until it deposits you in the pool at the end. |

It definitely looks scary as hell.....but i have a hard time believing the guys who designed it dont know what they are doing. These guys have developed a ton of water rides. Its not like they are inexperienced.

Did you see all the test run stories about the rafts jumping the track with the. Test dummies in it? That is why they added the net at the top of the hill |
